Miami Free Art Fridays

Last year, a cool friend of mine, Mahal Lagora, invited me to participate with a group of artists in Miami Free Art Fridays.  It is an art movement that's been going on across the globe and apparently has been going on ever since you gave your crayon drawing to your grandma when you were in kindergarten – on a Friday night. I tip my hat to a dude called Registered Artist who brought FAF in Miami.

So, anyway, yesterday I went to the Miami Shores Public Library sat on the biggest table, dip my quill pen on the inkwell and did "A Gift for Abner".  Most of the time I have a story behind every piece that I make and yesterday when Mahal asked me what's Abner's story I was caught off guard because I don't have any. I don't even know why I did this subject. I just have no idea.
Is it probably, subconsciously I was paying homage to the core theme of FAF which is "giving"?

But like most of the stories and ideas I made they all came from a drawing. And "A Gift for Abner" will absolutely develop into a graphic novel.

For now... IT'S FRIDAY FOLKS! HAPPY HUNTING!
