What's on that Tray?

"What's on that tray?"
People asked me what are the things I use when working particularly when drawing. So here is what's in my drawing tray.  First of all I am so proud of this tray because I made it myself 9 years ago. I made it since I couldn't find the perfect tray that I really like and fits my tools.



Starting from left: 2 HB Graphite Pencil, .25 Koh-I-Noor Rapidosketch Drawing Pen, .50mm Micron Pen, .25mm Micron Pen, #3 Winsor & Newton watercolor brush,  Grumbacher Goldenedge Round Series 4620, Speedball Hunt 102 Crow Quill, Speedball C-5 Flat Calligraphy Pen, Kneaded Eraser, Staedtler Mars Plastic Eraser.  And in the center is a 2-Ounce Super Black India Ink.

Once in a while I also use a drawing glove that I made out of an ordinary winter glove because my hand tend to hurt sometimes bleed a bit  when inking for 6 to 8 hours straight.

The Quarterly Bathroom Companion Comics Compendium

This the first two pages of the short story that I submitted for QBCCC called "Tanawin ni Aida" (Aida's Landscapes).  QBCCC is an independently published anthology of comic book creators and artists in the Philippines.  I just saw the first two issues and I was blown away by so many talents.

An Early Christmas Present

I was totally surprised today when the mailman knocked on our door and handed me a heavy package, opened it, and there it was.  The Francisco V. Coching book. I just received an early Christmas present today.  Rather one of the best Christmas gifts I've received since getting a box of crayola with a crayon sharpener inside my green cub scout socks when I was in preschool.  I love this book. I've been drooling to have a copy of this for 3 years. 3 Christmas eves it was on my wish list. Now... it's in front of me. Wet with holiday tears.
